Jamie F. Simpson
I came across Jamie F. Simpson's work in early 2017 while exploring into glitch art. I came across one of his pieces, "Déjà vu", which was a piece reflecting the distortion of memories and how we can lie to ourselves. Most of his work circle around the ideas of memory, dreams and desires. The more I delved into reading up on and looking at his works, I began to realise that my sense of self can be so easily distorted and manipulated. However you are not just the things you remember, but you are also shaped by the things you choose to forget or the decisions chose to not make.

He presents these ideas in really interesting ways through an array of digital mediums. He was my first stepping stone into critically looking at other forms of art pieces that were beyond print or traditional art forms, and the first digital artists whose work I have keen interest in.
